Acadia: A Planned Community

Acadia holds just about every amenity and housing type you can think of with even more planned in the future. For example, a fire house and primary school, even a conservatory! Multiple builders, designers and architects have come together to form the Acadia Builders’ Guild and offer over 750 unique home plans. Homes range from 1800 square feet to over 6000 square feet. You can choose from many custom home builders! There are two existing neighborhoods, The Village at Acadia and Saluda Run, plus there are three more planned neighborhoods taking reservations to build. Just about every stage and style of life is covered at Acadia. Situated in Piedmont South Carolina, this community is only 15 minutes to the center of downtown Greenville South Carolina.

The Village opened in 2006 and offers Manor and Single-Family homes to Gatehouse and TwinHouse style homes. Two tennis courts with a shade house and Olympic and kiddie pool with a pool house are already existing plus office space and shops are planned for future development.

Saluda Run

You guessed it! This neighborhood is bordered by the Saluda River on one side, woodlands and green space surrounds the rest. Custom homes and single-family cottages range in many styles.

Somes Village

Primarily comprised of townhomes, 1 story patio homes, custom cottages and custom gatehouses. There is a planned glass house conservatory and flower gardens for this neighborhood. Acadia is currently taking reservations for homes in this community.

The Sanctuary

This neighborhood is also along the Saluda River but there is a different atmosphere here. The resort style pool and cabana are adults only! There is a planned wildlife observation tower and kayak training center as well. Views of the protected wildlife conservation, lake and pond plus there are walking trails nearby. The homes here will have multi-acre lots with custom estate style homes and privacy. Acadia is currently taking reservations for homes in this community.

Beaver Creek

Vacation cottages, retirement cottages, executive apartments, townhomes, even manor homes make for a more eclectic neighborhood within Acadia. A firehouse is planned along with a bed & breakfast inn and more. A creek surrounds most of this neighborhood. Acadia is currently taking reservations for homes in this community.

Amazing Community Features

Some of the existing and planned future amenities for these communities include a meeting house for concerts, weddings, non-denominational sunrise services and more. Overlooking the Saluda River is a 125 guest River House. There is a gym and aerobics hall with lockers. Canoe and Kayak storage is located at the Paddle House, which overlooks the Saluda River. The Village Green playground features volleyball, bocce ball, croquet and court games. Holland Fields has a soccer field. Fireside music, a concert amphitheater and special events, such as the 4th of July Fireworks Show, take place at The Pavilion. Biking and hiking trails are within the Woodland Highways and don’t miss the Community Gardens where residents can contribute and attend to veggies and flowers.
