West Greenville, which is on the west-side of downtown Greenville, SC, is about to get a brand new 65-acre park. Running along the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the Reedy River by the Kroc Center. Named City Park, it will be 2X the size of Falls Park with lots of green space, picnic areas, a promenade, basketball courts and possibly an 80’ observation deck. Mayberry Park is currently in the middle of the planned park. Hudson Street would be the entrance. The master plan was approved in July 2017, with hopes of breaking ground in the spring of 2018. If all goes as planned the park will open in 2020.
